Dental Bonding
Dental bonding repairs decayed teeth (composite resins are used to fill cavities); this repairs small chipped or cracked teeth and improves the appearance of discolored teeth or makes cosmetic improvements. It closes minor gaps and spaces between teeth and makes teeth look longer, changes the color and shape of teeth, lightens stains, corrects mild crooked teeth to a certain degree. This is a cosmetic alternative to amalgam fillings and protects a portion of the tooth's root that has been exposed when gums recede.
Porcelain Veneers or Porcelain Laminates
Termed as instant orthodontics, porcelain veneers or laminates are a perfect solution for teeth that are too short, crooked or have too much space between teeth. Porcelain veneers, also known as porcelain laminates, are thin shells of porcelain applied to the front of the teeth to hide imperfections. Our master ceramists create “masterpieces” at our ‘Advanced Dental Care Center’. Composite resins reinforced with quartz are also used in making veneers and are called direct veneers. Though most commonly, they are used on the upper front teeth but can also be used on the lower and back teeth. Veneers are usually placed on the teeth in sets. This allows for a more even-looking smile. However individual teeth can also be veneered but it is just a bit more difficult to match the teeth’s natural color.
Porcelain veneers are instant as they take just two to three weeks to rectify the teeth whereas the more conventional way, Braces, need to be in place for approximately 2 years. Braces also do not address problems relating to size, shape and color of the teeth. Over time many adults wear their teeth down. Veneers allow Dr. Bobby Thomas to restore the shape and size of teeth to their normal dimensions.
As porcelain veneers cover the front surface of the teeth, picking a new shape and a whiter color is a definite option. A brighter healthy smile can also create a more youthful appearance.
Veneers
Veneers are called as "instant braces" as they correct the disoriented teeth, brighten the smile and improve self-esteem. They have a translucence and texture similar to the natural enamel. They close gaps between teeth, lengthens and reshape teeth, repairs chipped, broken, worn down or misshapen teeth.
Gumline Contouring
This is a good solution for those who have a very “gummy” smile. In this case the gum line could be irregular or perhaps too prominent. This causes your teeth to appear too long or too short. We use a safe and a precise, laser-like device, to reshape the gum line and create a beautiful, natural-looking smile.
Enamel Micro abrasion
This is an option for those who have stained teeth. Through ‘Enamel Micro Abrasion’, Dr. Anshu can remove staining on the top enamel layer by smoothing out the enamel, and generally no numbing is needed because the treatment remains on the surface, away from the sensitive part of the tooth. This process usually takes 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the number of spots. And whitening afterward can achieve the brightest smile.
